Under the issue of “Digital Waste”, five young groups represented their countries on October 10 in Madin (Turkey) as part of the Digital Waste KA2 Erasmus+ project to provide sustainability and save energy for a greener world. Turkey, Romania, Portugal, France, and Lebanon, contributed in the training days from October 10 till October 16 hosted by Mardin Artuklu Universitesi.

Purpose

Through informative presentations and survey’s data analysis tackling the situation in the different societies. From the brainstorming phase to the decision making one, the youth actively participated in highlighting the necessary needs of their communities, adapting these diversities to common factors helping them to build prototypes for the mobile application.

Discussion

The third day of the project made it all happen. The exploring day in this old city wasn't like any other. Eyes were open and ears were listening to all the stories told and never heard before, to what hides and shows this magical place of the world. Starting the day at Mor Gabriel Monastery, heading to tasting the Assyrian pizza, exploring the Dara Antik Kenti, and walking in the Old City by night. Friendships were created, and memories were made!

Not to forget the five cultural nights, when facts about each country were shared and food tasting took place.
